Immaculate had one of the best reactions I’ve seen in a long time when David asked her to marry him on Saturday. Her answer was a resounding yes!

David actually reached out to me just a few days before the proposal. He’d originally planned to pop the question on an upcoming trip, but when it was cancelled, he decided to make their weekend getaway to Dallas the moment instead. We hopped on the phone right away to come up with a game plan.

I sent David my Arboretum Proposal Spots Guide, and he chose the Sunken Garden Steps as the perfect location. I drew him a map to help him get there, and we decided on a 9:30 a.m. meet-up to avoid crowds and catch that beautiful morning light. To make sure Immaculate was dressed up, David told her they were heading to a nice brunch afterward.

As soon as they arrived, they walked straight to our meeting spot. David got down on one knee and proposed. I wish I’d gotten it on video, because Immaculate was literally jumping up and down with joy! Afterward, we spent about 20 minutes wandering the Arboretum taking some sweet photos, and Immaculate kept saying it all felt like a dream. It was such an honor to photograph this beautiful moment for them!
