Lydia and Cory met in college on their school golf team, and after 7 years together, they’re getting married!! I’ve known Lydia since we were kids carpooling to elementary school, so I was so excited when Cory reached out to me to photograph him asking Lydia to marry him!

For the proposal, I met Cory at Flippen Park in Dallas, a beautiful little neighborhood park with a gazebo that’s perfect for photos! He had a custom blanket made with photos of them on one side and “Will you marry me?” on the other side. Cory also had a scrapbook that contained every photo him and Lydia have taken together, plus plenty of blank pages for them to add all their future adventures.

When Lydia arrived, Cory led her to the gazebo and showed her the scrapbook. Then he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him! She of course said yes, then we got to spend some time taking a few engagement photos.

After we left the park, we headed over to a restaurant in Downtown, where Lydia thought they were just having dinner with her family, but Cory had planned an entire engagement as a surprise! We got some of the sweetest photos as Cory & Lydia’s friends and family showered them with love.

It was such an honor getting to capture this perfect day for them! Congrats, guys!
